Paying homage to the East Bay’s extensive history of commuter rail history this Parklet is reminiscent of the Lorin trolley car that served the area of the MLK Café at the beginning of the 20th century. It provides some much-needed public space in an area underserved by public parks. James Gallagher partnered with urban planner Yuri Kilburg on this project.
